About our Hydroponics Program:
In 2017, Green Our Planet launched a hydroponics program in partnership with the nonprofit, Los Vaqueros, in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Schools use the hydroponics systems to learn more about STEM (science, technology, engineering and math) as well as about nutrition and alternative growing methods.

  1. That moment off camera when he realized he drilled the holes for the micro irrigation misters on the bottom. Oh well flip the t-neck for the center riser and pretend it never happened.

  2. When he starts to drill the nozzle holes I’m literally screaming at the screen "It’s upside down!! You’re drilling the wrong side!!"

  3. This is not a areo system.
This is more of a hydro system.

I’ve been running LPA ( Low Pressure Areoponics) systems for about 7 year’s now.

I’ve got 4 systems, which consist of 2, 21 site grow chambers with 1 reservoir.
The 2 grow chambers measure 3’x3′, this way I can use 1, 3’x3′ LED light over each system.

The manifolds sit in the grow chambers.
The pump sits in the reservoir.
Every 20 minutes the pump comes on and sprays the roots in the grow chamber for 10 seconds.
Then the solution drains back into the reservoir.
This way the roots aren’t sitting in the solution all the time.
I believe this guy will have problems with this system.

Looks like the ROOT ROT HOTEL……….

  4. Where did you purchase you pump? That the only I’m not certain about purchasing, until I have further details.

  5. Hi ! alright ? I’ve always made clones in a conventional way, for years I have 100% effectiveness in cloning in soil. But I made my own ez cloner machine, and I’m going to try to learn this technique with this machine… do you leave the water pump on 24hrs?

  6. intro: correction : this is not what NASA used in space.. the huge water droplets would clump together real quick! and the solution(reservoir) would float! leaking up to light.
They used AAA compressed air and syphon (bag) to blast a fine mist = way more efficient to spread the solution, and you would want to save water, and not leak it, so only couple sec mist at a time. def not continuous or 15min on/off.
sry: but there already too much fogponic called aeroponics and "cloner" like aero-hydro called nasa aeroponic.
any way that’s for people who know only 1/4 of the story, they should at least have it right 🥰

  7. This is hydroponics with extra steps, not aeroponics. pressure is not high enough to atomize the (hydroponics) nutrients finely enough to benefit from an aeroponics setup. It’s a good NFT style setup

  8. no matter which way you build this system eventually the nozzles will clog up, i tried different water pumps different tubes different nozzles and it really is a headache.

    growing on soil is easier

  9. Great video! I would love to pick your brain about a system I want to set up in a tiny home. Rather than a self-contained system, I want to use a single barrel of water & nutrients to feed several (shorter) bins of plants. Trying to figure out the best pump and timer. Also, how do you start the seedlings? Thanks!

  10. I’ll be using an external pump for mine for many different reasons , I reccomend everyone else do the same thing , th sprayers are up way to high

  11. Great content, thank you. Could you please give details on how you fit the sprinkles without having leaks? The drill bit was threaded? did you use silicone or teflon? link to buy the sprinklers online?
    any suggestion at all

  12. Allegedly NASA using this on the ISS makes zero sense. No gravity. So it floats for an eternity? The light floats out of the right angle?

Great realm project. This is not used on the ISS. Impossible.

  13. Loved the video but was so glad u finally learned how to add at about 16 minutes or so. And love tht u tore the labels off the fat max I’m a carpenter and it was killing me to see u move ur tape every time

  14. So two mistakes or what I consider to be two mistakes yeah #1 in this video you did not use PVC cement to permanently seal your PVC connections Because both air and water leakage and reduction in pressure. And lastly how we purchased clear plastic tubs so that I can actually see what’s going on inside including the root systems

  15. wouldnt it have been easier to just measure the interior of the tub then just build it on the desk? then just sit it in the tub when its done

  16. greatest video ever was gonna do hydroponics but the informative nature of this video compelled me to do aeroponics good work and thank you so so much for being so helpful. Fucking legend🙏

  17. I don’t know if any of you noticed.
But this guy didn’t answer anybody’s questions.
And never did another video showing his results with this system.

I bet he ran into problems.

First thing you never want your pump in your grow chambers.

Then his on run time is way way way to long.
Especially with his roots already hanging in his warm nutrient solution.
Your nutrient solution temperature shouldn’t get over 75 degrees.
65 to 70 degrees works best.

These systems are really easy to make.

A parts list is kinda hard to give out due to things like.
The size of your grow chambers and how far your reservoir is from your grow chambers.
Use a hose to hook your reservoir to your grow chambers. And for your drain at the bottom of your grow chambers.
    They make pvc nipples this.

I’ve never grown this way from seed. I clone everything.
With little areo cloners I built.
The cloners are the only thing i keep the pump in the grow chambers, because the pump needs to run 24/7. No on off times.

I hope I answered some of your questions for some of you.

Oh for the size of your pump. That depends on the size of your grow chambers.
And how many grow chambers you want to feed at once.
    I just use pond pumps.
I use the smallest they make for the cloners.

I can’t remember the size i use to feed my two grow chambers. It’s not the biggest they make, I think it’s the next size down.

    Anyway good luck to everyone.

  18. Doesn’t the water drip out from under the lid? I’d suggest pointing the nozzles down or better yet finding a way to place the lid withing the sides of the tub.
