  1. Think u did a great job explaining. Some on UTube are really into the science and technology and while EC & pH r important, I really liked ur relaxed, close enough, style. Eh! Canuck down’Unda

  2. 11:06 you are better off getting rid of old solution and add a newly mixed batch, your ppm readings is misleading at this stage, firstly ppm is high because the plant has used up enough water to increasing the solute concentration in percentage, secondly as the plant might have used different nutrients at different rates, by adding plain water (solvent) you may not be replacing the nutrients (solutes) that the plant has used in greater percentage…

  3. I’m new to hydroponics (raising herbs) and don’t have meters yet. The kit that I have told me to add nutrients every two weeks and to use 5 ml of nutrients for every liter of water. If I only add (let’s say) a liter of new water (with 4 liters left from the original), do I just add nutrients for that single liter (5 ml), or do I add nutrients for all 5 liters (25 ml)? Thanks for any help.

  4. Thanks – Greetings from Ireland – this is the info I need to get ahead and get growing hydroponically.
EC = electrical conductivity (Measured in Siemens !)

  5. EC Meter. I’ve been unsuccessfully looking to the experts for reading the EC level The meter does not show decimal points. The answer you gave me explained it in less than 15 minutes! Thank you much.

  6. I want to test my run off and I want to test my nutrient water with the EC meter they have two settings us and Ms what should I use because they do read different

  7. Hello! Thanks for demonstrating water management. Do you add hydrogen peroxide to your water for anti-bacterial properties, and if so how often?

  8. Usea little to move ec orph up or down and dont worry about it check everyfew weeks the best advice yet

  9. I’ve been unsuccessfully looking to the experts for the answer you gave me in less than 15 minutes! Thank you so much 😊

  10. Hey thank you for doing a demonstration even showing us what to do when there’s not enough or too much nutrients. Thank you

  11. Brand new at hydroponics and totally intimidated by pH and EC and FINALLY an explanation I can understand. Thank you so much. 😊

  12. More informative than other videos. Try some grow lights. I will be trying my onions next week on hydroponics with water from my fish tank. I tried aquaponics and getting the nutrients for the plants was scary because I didn’t want to harm the fish. The fish water is rich in nitrates. In two weeks the plants were ready.

  13. Hi Little Garden on the Prairies, i was about to add some new videos to our channel when i stumbled across your video with our pH kit., love the video, love that your sharing our products with your audience, folks we didn’t pay her to do this, I’m so happy how this was presented. sincerely Dave Ocean Director / Founder

  14. Add bubbles , as many as possible , keep a water temp above 65f and under 72f ( bad bacteria love warm moist root systems especially in stagnant water systems ) hence root rot . Also for best results in foods you consume,,,R.O water is best as for all of the harmful chemicals , pesticides, chloramines( which kill beneficial bacteria in which all hydroponic systems need unless youre using H2O2 ( properly ) are eliminated .Hydro is more about root happiness , plants will talk to you and tell you the nutrients they need , or have too many of ……..Happy Farming

  15. I was getting a little overwhelmed with all the info and the other YouTube videos went all the way explaining what EC and PH were, but they didn’t do any demonstration like you, so thank you!
