  1. Don’t bother running out & buying bottled water for your plants. Instead, try using a water pitcher with a filter or you could pick yourself up a bottle of "water conditioner" the stuff they use in the fish/ aquarium hobby to clear large quantities of water in about a day! โคโคโค

  2. And you are so right about finding a community. I also found Ninja Orchid for help with my orchids in leca. She specializes in that.

  3. Just repotted one of my struggling orbifolias in Leca. fingers crossed that she bounces back now that i found such an awesome plant channel.

  4. I thank you so much because you gave me the confidence to try Leca again. This is a game-changer. I am really looking forward to seeing the last fungas gnat!
    Thank you ๐Ÿ˜Š

  5. Itโ€™s so comforting to know that someone with your knowledge has also had difficulties when repotting. I thought I was doing something wrong, but couldnโ€™t find anything that I was doing differently between my successes and failures. I do need to take your advice and stop messing with the roots so frequently though. Thank you!!

  6. I use a big coffee jar filled with water and my plastic pots fjt perfectly in the top. So there’s a lot of room in the reservoir โค

  7. what are you using for feeding? in leca
do you use the same mix for all plants??
is there a specific NPK recommendation when growing in leca?

  8. Nora is the reason I have transferred all of my plants into Leca . Took one year. I will never go back to soil. Period! ๐Ÿ’š

  9. My mom put her peace lilies in LECA and they all a drooping after a week. Iโ€™m worried they will die. Is there anything we can do to save them?

  10. Hi my leca queen, I would like to know if your ever do any air layering of any plants n how did you do it..I know you’re just simple in washing the soil off the roots and then put in leca or go the long way in water. But wonder what you do if there’s many many long Aerial roots hanging outside your moss pole.

  11. Yea I Don agree with you I use organic worm wee and my plants are fine I have 21 indoor plants but I do think store bought liquid fertilizers are very good also

  12. I would like advice on what to do with plants that move to the cold for the winter, stop watering,….they should have their own winter biorhythm. I am in Europe where the plants are allowed to "rest" for the winter. What should I do if I convert them to hydroponics?

  13. Subscribed! I was getting frustrated because I wanted to get a complete guide from one video but I now appreciate the education I’m receiving from your in-depth videos!
One question though. I’m a beginner with plants but I watched the video of "kill this plant" saying he doesn’t use LECA anymore because it’s time consuming.
Can you explain what he’s talking about? From what I’ve been watching from your videos you only have to provide new nutrient solution every two weeks. I don’t understand how that is time consuming….

  14. You have given so much great info on your channel, that I feel very comfortable moving my plants to LECA!!! Thank you so much!

  15. Iโ€™m well versed in traditional hydroponics, but wound up here looking for more info on semi-hydro for houseplants. I was definitely expecting a video more in line with most of the other houseplant info videos on YT where the information is very superficial, ambiguous, or outright wrong. I was pleasantly surprised to hear you talking about total dissolved solids, ph, nute lockout, etc.. Good shit.

  16. Hi My Leca Guru queen..you’re so much educated on semi hydroponics n I’m new to putting everything from soil to leca..but is there a certain plant not to put in leca..someone say pathos don’t do great in leca..is it true.

  17. I have a young Thai Constellation Monstera I want to transfer to Semi-Hydro. It’s in a 4 inch pot right now. I’m so nervous I’m going to kill it but I want to try this method so bad because it just makes sense!

  18. excellent advise!!! got a new subbie here just for pointing out that we need to do out own research, etc!!! Thank you!!!

  19. Ms. Leca Lady I enjoy your videos and I lovely your accent. Itโ€™s winter here in Germany and although the rule of thumb is to repot in spring/summer, but my Varigated Frydek in Semi Hydro is going nuts. She has 9 huge leaves from 36-43 cm long and is constantly pushing out Pups. I have 10 with 3 unrolling. Have you ever repotted in Winter? I believe the plant in SH isnโ€™t as sensitive as in soil? I did repot my Pink Dragon and although she is still alive I see no growth or Pups. Itโ€™s been 2 months now. So what do you think? I wouldnโ€™t care if she loses a leaf or 2 but the Pups are getting larger and harder to manage. I donโ€™t like the hanging look so Iโ€™ve been propping them up. Drop me a line. Thanks for the tips.

  20. I guess. When I go to the hydroponic garden store, I see a lot of organic fertilizers for hydroponics. The employees working there say it works. The hydroponic garden store is actually a great place for advice. These ladies and gentlemen know what sells, what is returned, what works, and what doesn’t. As for advice on the internet, well personally would seek advice from all sources, compare it and analyze it. Except for wicking, which I am extremely good at, I have no experience in hydroponics. If someone asked me on how to get started, I would tell them to start out with pothos, spider plant, peace lily. Something cheap, but hard to kill, and do it. If it flourishes great, try something a little more challenging. If it dies, figure out why and change course. When wicking I have plants with more roots in the reservoir, than the potting soil.

  21. Is White Knight a diva? I repotted into chunky aroid mix and she hates it, lost 90% of leaves. Starting over in semi-hydro

  22. I’m glad I watched this! I was planning on using an organic fertilizer, but now know that it is not good for semi- hydroponics.

Thanks, LECA Queen, for preventing the demise of my plants in LECA.๐Ÿ˜Š๐Ÿ‘

  23. Dear Leca Queen I have 2 small mediterranean olive trees. Can I grow these in leca and if so which way of planting do you suggest. Many thanks and kind regards.

  24. I’m in Canada, can you recommend what type of fertilizers I should be using for my plants that are in Pon? Thanks, love your videos.

  25. Ive been going from soil to leca and the amount of little black flies that are gone is ubelievable. Almost none now.

I do have some trips, possibly leftovers from soil? Do u know if leca also dissipates trips?

Ive only just some weeks transferred to leca.

  26. So watching this, I get what you were saying during our CoffeeTalk discussion. I’ve been flushing the plants potted in LECA by removing the plant and the LECA, rinsing the balls and the root ball of the plant in LECA, and putting it back. I will most certainly cease and desist doing that!

  27. Do you use your nutrient solution at every watering or do you go back and forth eg. one water with nutrient solution next water with tap water ?

  28. Does anyone else find her just as charming as Glenda the good witch? Thereโ€™s a few moments that have reminded me of Glenda!
